Individual Assignment 1

The article that I read was about whether or not the Israeli army is prepared for war.  In this article, they discuss why there are doubts about the Israeli army's ability to fight a war. The debate is going back and forth between levels of the government since some believe that they are ready for a war, but many involved in the military claim differently. One of the arguments being made about the IDF or Israel Defense Forces is that they have had " long  periods of low-level operations in which their military skills are eroded." This is a large setback for the IDF because they have been traditionally considered one of the best equipped and overall militaries in the past and now it appears that they have fallen off.
